Wavy Bob

THE CUT

Watch out for the wavy bob to be another growing trend, also known as the “Wob.” This cut is very feminine, yet can get edgy with an undercut at the nape area. As you’d expect from the name, it’s perfect for naturally wavy or slightly curly hair. It’s cut on an angle from the back to the front, with a slight graduation in the back that creates volume and fullness.

If your hair is on straighter side, your stylist may use a razor to cut the hair rather than shears. This will create more texture for straighter hair, and this cut is all about creating or bringing out texture.

This style will work for most facial shapes, just be aware of where the length in the front will fall. For round or square shapes, the length needs to be below the cheeks to soften this area. For oblong faces, taking it shorter and adding a soft fringe will soften the long face.

THE STYLING

Gently add DESIGNLINE Powder Boost Volumizer into to roots of dry hair and massage in with fingertips. Separate hair into sections, spraying each with DESIGNLINE Hold Everything hairspray before using an iron for waves.

A SECOND LOOK

A color melting technique can bring out the fun side of this style. Your stylist might use a darker base shade at the new growth areas, then balayage some lighter shades. The lightener and color can be fused together to create a color melt, adding dimension to this cool style.
