Raymond Hennessey opened the first Raymond Salon at the corner of Granville St. and 11th Ave. in Vancouver in 1948. The business grew throughout Vancouver, and in association with Woodward’s Department stores, expanded into British Columbia and Alberta. From 1993 onward, Raymond relocated its stores to prime regional locations while continuing to manage related brands in the group. In the late 90’s Raymond transferred ownership to his son, Ken. The evolution of Raymond Salons continues with its current branding under the family name “Hennessey”, which focuses on developing full service salons and spas in key markets. Today, with the help of many talented associates, Hennessey Salon+Spa operates 9 locations in Western Canada offering exceptional hair services, esthetic services and professional products. Hennessey Salon+Spa has become a distinguished and dynamic leader in the beauty industry.
